Air Collection
Watergen’s built-in blower draws the air from the atmosphere into the GENNY unit. Two sequential air filters eliminate particulates smaller than 2.5 microns, leaving it clean for the water production process.
Water Creation
The air is then directed through the two Genius heat exchange units and the cooling process begins. The humidity from the air is condensed into the water inside the device. The Genius company-patented technology enables the unit to work in a wide range of temperature conditions.
Purification & Filtration
The water created goes through a purification and mineralization process via cascade filters. A UV lamp destroys microorganisms and decomposes harmful chemicals.
Together, purification and mineralization serve as a barrier in a wide range of environments against harmful or unwanted chemicals and biological contaminants.
Storage & Safety
Water is stored in the reservoir. A cooling system keeps the storage tank below 5 °C, and there is constant circulation of water from the tank through the UV module. Together, these two robust features ensure safe, potable drinking water.

Drinking Water
The daily production capacity is up to 22 liters per day, depending on the temperature and humidity levels in its proximity. As shown, there is no need to connect the device to water pipes. All that’s needed is an electric power socket. GENNY can produce cold water, as well as hot drinking water.

Stage 1
Removal of Particulate Matter
Two sequential air filters eliminate particulate matter that is smaller than 2.5 microns (<2.5PM).
Stage 2
Water Creation
Water generated from the air using Genius technology is cleaner than water taken from the earth. Genius is made entirely of material that is approved for the direct production of drinking water, complete with hydrophilic polymer coating. Thus, during the water production process, no substances prohibited from drinking are released.
Stage 3
Water Filtration and Mineralization
Removal of organic/inorganic substances + microorganisms: A high-tech 0.8 µm carbon filter is impregnated with patented Aqualen fibers which significantly increase the filter performances in trapping a wide range of inorganic and organic molecules, parasites, and toxins. Importantly, this filter is also embedded with silver ions to inhibit germ growth.
Ultrafine filtration: An activated carbon cartridge, paralleled with ultra-fine membranes, blocks any particles larger than 0.1 µm. In addition to the removal of microplastic and the reduction of total organic carbon (TOC), this filter potentially gives rise to the removal of bacteria, molds, yeasts, spores, viruses, etc.
Mineralization: To meet global regulations, this cartridge robustly stabilizes the water pH between 6.5 8.5. In addition, it also enriches the water with essential ions such as Ca (Calcium) and Mg (Magnesium). This, in turn, dramatically improves the water’s taste.

Water Safety
As a final backup to the purification process explained in Stage 3, a powerful germicidal lamp eliminates any potential presence of bio-related contamination in the AWG water system.

Water Maintenance
One of the major safety advantages of the device involves a cooling system that keeps the storage tank below 5°C, together with the constant circulation of water from the storage tank through the UV module. Combining these two robust features ensures safe, potable drinking water.

Has worked perfectly and simply for us. We are in northern Utah on Idaho/ Wyoming border. We have experimented with it and have even run it from our solar system. Have had no issues with it at all. Love the hot water feature! Customer service answered all my questions quickly, a real plus. We have recommended to friends and family and plan to purchase another for an off grid property.
I live in the southwest desert area of the USA, with summer humidity usually in the 25-30% range. We are currently experiencing a record drought. I purchased my WATERGEN GENNY to supplement my home drinking water, and to have an independent drinking water source in the event of water outages or crisis.
I have been using my WATERGEN GENNY for approx 3 weeks. I wanted to wait to leave a review until I had a chance to evaluate issues brought up in other reviews I read.
Time from order to delivery was 15 DAYS, due to hurricane, supply chain, and COVID delays. When the package arrived by international express, I was impressed by the quality and care in packing, and care taken in shipping. The box was heavily reinforced and strapped, and showed no transit damage or evidence that it was placed on it’s side.
Set up was easy using the recommended Youtube video. The GENNY is a solid appliance of metal and composite construction, and high quality internal components. After installing, I attached a digital power meter in the electrical line to monitor the amount of electricity used in the different modes and cycles of the GENNY.
I was concerned that the GENNY would not work efficiently in my low humidity environment. It took about 9 HOURS for the GENNY to completely fill both tanks. This was with light use of the produced water, and periodically turning the unit off. While producing and filtering water, the GENNY used between 400 Watts and 450 Watts of power. The chilling element only uses 2-4 watts to keep the water at 45 F. The hot water element uses over 1000 watts, and heats the water 180-200 F. It takes approximately an hour to refill both tanks to full, after drawing a coffee pot’s worth of water. The unit goes into a standby mode when full, until water circulation or other functions are needed. In the standby mode it uses only a few watts of power, mainly for the chiller. The production capacity appears to be about 6 gallons/day, which is in line with what the Innovated website estimates for low humidity areas. Production speed and volume increased noticeably when a rainstorm rolled through the area.
There is no manual or instruction book, but the videos are adequate and customer service responds almost instantaneously answers to any technical or service questions.
Overall, I am highly satisfied with theGENNY, and impressed with the build quality and performance. I have the peace of mind that I have a dependable and practical addition to my home, that will provide for my family in everyday use, and when needed in an emergency.
I was very nervous about buying this product, but am very happy with it overall. I had some trouble with it at first in terms of where to put it. Different rooms had different humidity levels. The was finding rooms with good circulation. It is producing water faster than I can consume. I would absolutely recommend this product. Easy to setup and I’m pulling water out of the air! I need to buy filters now just to have some ready to go. If you are thinking of buying this, then just do it. It does exactly what it says it does.

Living in a tropical island with an average humidity of 65% or more at all times of the year, this system provides all the needed drinking water for our household. Water quality is excellent and you always know from where your water comes from. I have measured power consumption to be 250W tops during water production.
It automatically shuts off when water reservoir is full. It also has cold and hot water capability that can be turned off on demand. Very simple to operate.

I love the water this machine makes. In our quest for pure water, we started with filters, but discovered that due to a high amount of solids, filters for a year were the same price as this machine. It’s kept up with our needs for the family, cooking, and pets, in a very dry spell in Florida.
We added a food grade silicone tube to the hot water, which we don’t heat. It eliminates the need for a funnel when filling a pot or big bottle.
I’m still amazed that this machine pulls water out of the air! I understand the concept, but it’s still amazing. And the water is absolutely delicious!

I am happy with this purchase and feel it adds a touch of sustainability and self sufficiency to my life. After the recent Texas storms I learned that clean drinking water is not always available. This machine coupled with my off grid solar setup gives me some peace of mind. The setup steps require strong attention and adherence but they provide a great video. All setup and no issues!

The noise from the unit is noticeable ( but does not bother me. ) It’s to be expected from a machine that makes very clean and great tasting water out of thin air.
Because it’s a dehumidifier. It keeps the house less humid because of that my air conditioner runs a lot less. The house is a lot more comfortable for the South Texas Gulf coast environment where it gets very hot and muggy.
It does work well with my generators. Which means when the power goes out. It will reduce the chance of mold growing in my house and provide great drinking water.
If you like being prepared for an emergency event or just want a great appliance that actually serves a purpose in your home. You will love the GENNY.
